when hollywood stops casting light skint black people in roles meant for dark skinned black people i’ll be happier
they’re still black either way, why is this an issue?
I’m confused as to why you decided to add this stupid ass question on my post. It’s a fucking issue because of the fact that these people are doing the bare minimum by hiring a black person to play a black person but at the same time perpetuating the european beauty standards and colourism that plague the world by hiring the lightest of black people to play these roles. they are essentially saying that dark skinned black people aren’t good enough to even play roles meant for them. that’s why it’s a fucking issue.
“they aren’t black enough”
lmfao
“dark skinned black people are too black”
We can play this game if you want but I assure you that you’ll lose lmfao.
when did i say that

Fun History Fact,
The Treaty of Paris, which ended the American Revolutionary War, defined a part of the border between British Canada and the United States as "through Lake Superior northward of the Isles Pontchartrain and Phelipeaux to the Long Lake.“
In 1820 the treaty had to be revised when a new survey revealed that the isles Pontchartrain and Phelipeaux didn’t exist.
